ABCD Florida
- Guidelines
Substitutability:
Any player can
substitute for any other player, and a handicap adjustment will
take place. The calculation will be made by taking the average
of the players of the replacement players skill (e.g. C), subtracting
it from the average of the players at the level for which he/she
is substituting (e.g. A), and dividing by the number of positions
that the two players differ (C to A, D to B = 2; D to A = 3;
etc.). If the player substituting is at a higher skill level,
the handicap adjustment will be reversed (e.g. If an A replaces
a B, instead of starting at a minus number, the team starts at
+2).
Missing Players:
A Missing - B takes 2 shots, team
starts with stroke advantage equal to difference between A &
B player handicap averages divided by 3 rounded up to the next
whole number.
B Missing - A & C alternate taking 2 shots.
C Missing - B & D alternate taking 2 shots.
D Missing - C takes 2 shots every other shot.
Disqualification:
If a player
is disqualified after the round starts, the player may finish
the round as part of the team but the player forfeits any share
of any winnings. If a player is disqualified before the round
starts, either the Substitutability or Missing Player guidelines
should be adopted.
Late Arrival:
If a player
arrives after the start of his group and his group has less than
4 players, he will be able to join them on the next tee. Any
scoring adjustment will be prorated for the number of holes the
late arriving player missed, rounded to the nearest (higher or
lower) whole number.
If the late arriving
player has been substituted for, he will not be allowed to join
his group.
Order of Finish:
All Ties will
split the appropriate prizes. For example, a two-way tie for
first place will result in the prizes for the first two teams
being combined and divided evenly among the two teams. |
